Job Description
Overview
\nWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate-level professional looking to take ownership of a ledger and contribute to improving cash flow and reducing aged debt.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain a portfolio of customer accounts \n
- Proactively chase outstanding debt via phone, email, and written communication \n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payment \n
- Allocate incoming payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts \n
- Investigate and resolve invoice queries in a timely manner \n
- Produce and review aged debt reports, highlighting high-risk accounts \n
- Escalate problematic accounts and recommend appropriate action \n
- Support month-end processes, including reporting and reconciliations \n
- Work closely with sales and operational teams to resolve disputes \n
- Maintain accurate records in line with company policies \n
Key Requirements
\n- \n
- Previous experience in a Credit Control role (2–4 years) \n
- Strong communication and negotiation skills \n
- Confident dealing with stakeholders at all levels \n
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. Sage, SAP, or similar) \n
- Strong Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables desirable) \n
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively \n
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills \n
