Group Financial AccountantCambridge (2 days in the office)12 Month Fixed-Term Contract£60,000 - £65,000 Our client is a highly respected international organisation seeking a technically strong Financial Accountant to join their Group Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working within a collaborative, high-performing finance function, taking ownership of group reporting, statutory accounts, technical accounting and financial control in a complex, multi-entity environment.Working alongside an experienced finance leadership team, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate month-end reporting, supporting statutory reporting requirements and providing technical accounting expertise across the business. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly group consolidation journals and support the group reporting process.- Produce statutory financial statements and supporting disclosures.- Deliver technical accounting guidance, including the application of IFRS.- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end reporting.- Support both internal and external audit processes, providing accurate and timely information.- Research complex accounting matters and provide practical recommendations.- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across finance and the wider business.- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.About YouYou'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting knowledge and experience operating within a corporate finance or practice environment.You'll also bring:- Strong IFRS knowledge and technical accounting capability.- Experience of group reporting, consolidations and statutory accounts.- Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.- Strong communication skills with the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.- Experience supporting audit processes and maintaining robust financial controls.What's on Offer- 12-month fixed-term contract.- Salary of £60,000 - £65,000.- Hybrid working with 2 days per week in the office.- Opportunity to join a collaborative, supportive and forward-thinking finance team.- Exposure to technical accounting, group reporting and business improvement projects.- Opportunity to broaden your experience within a respected international organisation.If you're looking for a technically focused role where you can make an immediate impact while working in a flexible hybrid environment, please apply.Vitae Financial Recruitment Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
