\nYour new roleWe're looking for a detail-driven and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a fast-paced finance environment in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with financial processes, systems, and stakeholders across multiple locations, while contributing to continuous improvement in a collaborative team.About the RoleIn this role, you'll take ownership of core daily finance operations, supporting multiple entities and ensuring smooth processing of transactions, accurate reconciliations, and effective communication across teams. You'll work closely with colleagues across sites and central functions, helping to maintain robust financial controls and drive efficiency in processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Duties

- Upload and manage daily bank statements into the ERP system \n
- Monitor finance payment inbox and respond to queries \n
- Process and release vendor payment runs and one-off payments \n
- Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained and provide payment confirmations \n
- Maintain accurate payment registers and documentation \n
- Monitor balances and arrange transfers where required \n
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies \n
- Handle payment-related queries promptly \n
Weekly Tasks
\n- \n
- Ensure all postings are completed accurately and on time \n
- Meet deadlines and maintain system accuracy \n
- Process and release specific banking transactions \n
Monthly & Quarterly Activities
\n- \n
- Prepare and post journals \n
- Maintain and update approval matrices \n
- Set up and manage direct debit instructions \n
- Complete reconciliations across multiple entities \n
- Prepare cash flow actuals and support reporting \n
- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting evidence \n
Continuous Improvement & Ad Hoc

- Identify and implement process improvements \n
- Maintain clear and up-to-date procedures \n
- Provide team cover when needed \n
- Support internal controls and compliance activities \n
What you'll need to succeed
\n- \n
- Background in a Shared Service Centre environment (preferred) \n
- Understanding of Accounts Receivable and finance processes \n
- Experience working in a changing, fast-paced environment \n
- Familiarity with ERP systems \n
- Intermediate Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) \n
