IPS Employment SpecialistLocation: Bassetlaw (Community-Based Role)Salary: £31,000 per annum + travel expenses (beyond base location)About the Opportunity We are seeking a passionate and proactive IPS (Individual placement and support) Employment Specialist to help individuals with health conditions, disabilities, or other barriers sustain and progress in employment. This is a rewarding, community-based role where you'll work directly with employees and employers, providing tailored support that enables people to thrive in the workplace, develop their careers, and achieve long-term employment success. You'll combine coaching, employer engagement, advocacy, and problem-solving skills to create positive outcomes for both individuals and businesses.Key Responsibilities Deliver Individualised In-Work Support\n

  • Provide ongoing one-to-one support to individuals in employment, helping them overcome workplace challenges and achieve their career goals.
  • \n
  • Develop personalised action plans focused on job retention, wellbeing, confidence, and progression.
  • \n
  • Monitor progress and adapt support to meet changing needs.
  • \n
Build Strong Employer Partnerships\n
    \n
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with employers across the Bassetlaw area.
  • \n
  • Promote inclusive employment practices and workplace adjustments where appropriate.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with employers to support positive employment outcomes.
  • \n
Advocate and Enable Success\n
    \n
  • Act as a trusted advocate for individuals, ensuring they have access to the support and resources needed to succeed.
  • \n
  • Empower customers to build resilience, confidence, and independence in the workplace.
  • \n
  • Support individuals to identify training, development, and career progression opportunities.
  • \n
Problem-Solve and Coordinate Support\n
    \n
  • Identify potential barriers to sustained employment and intervene proactively.
  • \n
  • Signpost and refer individuals to appropriate specialist services where required.
  • \n
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate effective support solutions.
  • \n
Maintain Quality and Performance\n
    \n
  • Keep accurate, timely, and compliant records of all customer interactions and outcomes.
  • \n
  • Manage a varied caseload effectively while meeting service targets and quality standards.
  • \n
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement and best practice.
  • \n

Desirable Experience\n

  • Experience within employability, supported employment, welfare-to-work, careers guidance, or vocational rehabilitation.

  • Knowledge of workplace wellbeing, disability inclusion, or reasonable adjustments.
  • \n
  • Understanding of benefits, health-related employment support, or vocational services.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions, disabilities, or complex barriers to employment.
  • \n
  • Experience of employer engagement and partnership working.
