Practice Accountant £40k - £50k FTE - 3 month contract

This well-established accountancy practice is located less than a 10-minute walk from Windsor Castle and is surrounded by an excellent selection of shops, cafés and restaurants. An opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Practice Accountant to join the team on a 3-month temporary contract. This varied role will involve supporting the practice with accounts preparation, VAT reviews, VAT returns and assisting with a large Xero to Sage migration project. It's an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • \n

    Reviewing accounts prepared by other team members.

    • \n
  • \n

    Reviewing and preparing VAT returns.

    • \n
  • \n

    Preparing statutory accounts and working papers.

    • \n
  • \n

    Assisting with general accounts preparation for a varied client portfolio.

    • \n
  • \n

    Supporting a major client Xero to Sage migration project, including data migration and reconciliations.

    • \n
  • \n

    Providing ad hoc support to the wider practice team as required.

    • \n

Skills & Experience Required

\n
    \n
  • \n

    Part-qualified ACCA or ACA (or equivalent).

    • \n
  • \n

    Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.

    • \n
  • \n

    Experience preparing statutory accounts and VAT returns.

    • \n
  • \n

    Knowledge of Xero and Sage accounting software.

    • \n
  • \n

    Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

    • \n
  • \n

    Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
