Materials ControllerLocation: LeedsSalary: £29,345Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week (Flexible start and finish times)The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Materials Controller to join a busy maintenance and engineering operation in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with a background in materials control, logistics, stores, or supply chain operations.Working within the Stores team, you will play a key role in ensuring materials and components are received, controlled, stored and distributed efficiently to support operational requirements.Key Responsibilities

- Managing goods inwards and ensuring materials are stored correctly and accurately. \n
- Raising requisitions and purchase orders. \n
- Preparing materials for shipment and overhaul. \n
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently. \n
- Issuing materials to operational teams. \n
- Carrying out stock counts and inventory control activities. \n
- Monitoring material usage and stock levels. \n
- Expediting orders and liaising with suppliers where required. \n
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards to promote efficiency and safety. \n
- Working closely with stores and operational teams to ensure material availability. \n
- Following company procedures and maintaining accurate records. \n

- Strong understanding of materials control, stock management and purchasing processes. \n
- Experience processing purchase orders and managing inventory. \n
- Excellent planning and organisational skills. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. \n
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines. \n
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n
- Strong commitment to health and safety. \n

- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence. \n
- Full UK Driving Licence. \n
- Eligibility to drive company vehicles in accordance with the company's motor insurance policy. \n
- Maximum of 6 penalty points. \n
