Nursery Deputy Manager (Level 3 Qualified)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join our vibrant team. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong practitioner ready to take the next step in their career, supporting the Nursery Manager in leading a high-quality early years setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n
• Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting
\n
• Ensure a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for all children
\n
• Lead by example in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences
\n
• Plan and implement engaging activities to support children’s development across all areas
\n
• Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, ensuring accurate records are maintained
\n
• Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and external professionals
\n
• Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations
\n
• Support with staff supervision, mentoring, and team development
\n
• Step in to lead the nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager
\n
• Assist with daily routines including mealtimes, hygiene, and transitions
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• CACHE Level 3 (minimum) in Childcare and Education
\n
• Proven experience as a Senior Practitioner, Room Leader, or Deputy Manager
\n
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
\n
• Understanding of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and compliance
\n
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
\n
• Ability to support, motivate, and develop a team
\n
• Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
\n
