Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging construction lessons to learners of varying abilities
  • \n
  • Teach vocational and practical construction subjects
  • \n
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support progress
  • \n
  • Monitor learner attendance, achievement, and wellbeing
  • \n
  • Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate learner records and complete required administration
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to continually improve teaching and learning
  • \n

Essential Requirements

\n

  • Level 3 qualification (or above) in a Construction related discipline
  • \n
  • Relevant industry experience within construction
  • \n
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • \n
  • Ability to motivate and inspire learners from a arrange of backgrounds
  • \n
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • \n
\n

Desirable

\n
    \n
  • Experience teaching withing Further Education or apprenticeships
  • \n
  • Knowledge of current industry standards and health & safety legislation
  • \n
  • Assessor and/or IQA qualifications
  • \n
