Honiton & Exeter | £15.34 Per Hour| 30 Hours Per Week | Temporary until End of October 2026

\n Pertemps is currently recruiting for a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our client on a temporary basis until the end of October 2026. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting veterans and individuals who have experienced homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless across the Honiton and Exeter area.\n
\n Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you'll manage a small caseload of around 5–8 customers, allowing you the time to deliver personalised, high-quality support that empowers individuals to achieve greater independence.\n

\n The RoleAs a Support Worker, you will:\n

- Provide person-centred, solution-focused support to individuals with complex needs. \n
- Develop, review and update support plans and risk assessments. \n
- Work closely with external agencies, including mental health services, substance misuse teams, benefits services, landlords and education providers. \n
- Support customers to access housing, employment, training and other community services. \n
- Promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every individual. \n
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding best practice. \n

- \n
- Experience supporting individuals with a range of complex or vulnerable needs. \n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. \n
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload. \n
- Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make informed decisions. \n
- Experience writing records, support plans or action plans. \n
- A good understanding of safeguarding and risk management. \n
- Good literacy and numeracy skills. \n

- \n
- Experience within housing support or homelessness services. \n
- Knowledge of benefits, employment or education support. \n
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. \n
- Previous experience working with vulnerable adults. \n
- Safeguarding qualifications. \n
- \n
- 30 hours per week \n
- Monday to Friday, plus one Saturday in every six \n
- \n
- Temporary contract until the end of October 2026 \n
- Enhanced DBS required \n
- Based from Honiton with travel across Honiton and Exeter \n
- Immediate start available \n
