\n We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client based in Paddock Wood, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and professional Category C Driver who is happy to take on hands-on yard duties alongside driving responsibilities.\n
\n
Location: Paddock Wood, Kent\n
Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour\n
Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:00 – 17:00 | No weekends\n
Contract: Ongoing temporary work with the potential for a temp-to-perm opportunity\n

The Role\n
\n
\n As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 / Category C vehicle for local deliveries and collections across the region. This role would suit an experienced LGV Class 2 Driver, Cat C Driver, or Rigid Driver who enjoys a varied role combining driving and yard-based duties.\n
\n
\n Your responsibilities will include:\n
\n
\n

\n
• Carrying out local deliveries and collections as a Delivery Driver Class 2
  
  
\n
• Completing multi-drop deliveries when required
  
  
\n
• Assisting in the yard during quieter driving periods
  
  
\n
• Moving pallets safely and efficiently around the yard
  
  
\n
• Supporting loading and unloading activities
  
  
\n
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and ensuring full compliance with road safety regulations
  
  
\n
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations
  
  
\n

What We're Looking For\n
\n
\n

\n
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
  
  
\n
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  
  
\n
• Previous experience as a HGV Driver, LGV Driver, HGV Class 2 Driver
  
  
\n
• A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to assist with yard duties
  
  
\n
• Good knowledge of driver compliance and road transport regulations
\n
