Location: Reading, Berkshire (Hybrid working available)\n
Salary: £48,000–£50,000 + Performance-Related Pay\n
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday\n

\n We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Learning & Development to lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of a diverse portfolio of training and development programmes.\n
\n
\n This is a senior role for a learning professional who can combine strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for a wide range of audiences and stakeholders.\n
\n
The Role\n
\n
\n Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for managing and developing a programme of training events, learning resources and professional development activity.\n
\n
You will:\n
\n
\n
    \n
  • Lead the learning and development function and support the wider development team
  • \n
  • Oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of training programmes and events
  • \n
  • Develop engaging learning content across digital and traditional formats
  • \n
  • Deliver workshops, training sessions and masterclasses
  • \n
  • Manage relationships with key clients, partners, suppliers and collaborators
  • \n
  • Monitor performance through reporting, evaluation and feedback
  • \n
  • Use insights and data to continually improve learning programmes
  • \n
  • Coordinate networks of mentors, ambassadors and subject matter experts
  • \n
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives

About You\n
\n
\n You will be an experienced learning and development professional with a proven ability to design, deliver and evaluate impactful training programmes.\n
\n
\n You will have:\n
\n
    \n
  • Experience managing multi-strand learning and events programmes
  • \n
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • \n
  • Experience creating engaging learning materials and resources
  • \n
  • Confidence facilitating training sessions and workshops
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • \n
  • A proactive approach with strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • \n
  • A continuous improvement mindset
  • \n
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • \n
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • \n
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
  • \n
  • A willingness to travel across the UK when required
  • \n
Desirable Experience\n
\n
\n It would be advantageous if you have:\n
\n
    \n
  • Experience supporting career transition, entrepreneurship or business development programmes
  • \n
  • Experience working with community, education or professional development initiatives
  • \n
  • Previous military or emergency service experience
  • \n
  • A passion for supporting individuals to achieve their goals
