Introduction\nAcorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for Production Operatives to work at one of our well-established clients in the Newport area.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience working in heavy industrial environments who are looking to join a busy production team.
Key Duties\n- \n

Operating machinery to assist in the production process.
\n - \n
Conducting visual quality checks of all products.
\n - \n
Loading and unloading products onto the production line.
\n - \n
Undertaking manual handling activities.
\n - \n
Operating robots manually if any problems occur (full training will be given).
\n - \n
Running the Oxide Mill, working with pure lead and heat torches.
\n - \n
Abiding by all Health & Safety guidelines.
\n - \n
Ensuring that good housekeeping and 5S standards are maintained within the area of responsibility.
\n

Previous experience with heavy industry products and hot metals.
\n - \n
Numerate and literate, with GCSE passes in Mathematics and English Language being desirable.
\n - \n
PC literate, with knowledge of Microsoft software being beneficial.
\n - \n
Robotic knowledge would be an advantage.
\n - \n
Knowledge of FIFO systems is desirable.
\n - \n
An enthusiastic individual with a responsible attitude.
\n - \n
A common-sense approach with good interpersonal skills.
\n - \n
Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
\n - \n
Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
\n - \n
Flexibility with working hours.
\n - \n
Must be able to wear an airflow mask, which is mandatory due to the nature of the work and therefore must be clean-shaven.
