The Experienced Adult Mental Health Social Worker will provide high-quality, person-centred social work services to adults experiencing mental health challenges, supporting individuals to achieve recovery, independence, and improved wellbeing.

\n

The postholder will undertake complex assessments, care planning, safeguarding interventions, crisis management, and multi-agency collaboration while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, professional standards, and organisational policies.

\n

This role requires advanced knowledge of mental health legislation, risk management, safeguarding procedures, and the ability to work effectively with individuals presenting with complex mental health and social care needs.

Essential Qualifications

\n

· Degree in Social Work (BA/MA/Diploma in Social Work or equivalent).

\n

· Registered Social Worker with relevant regulatory body (e.g., Social Work England).

\n

· Evidence of continuing professional development.

\n

Essential Experience

\n

· Minimum 3–5 years post-qualification experience in adult mental health social work.

\n

· Experience managing complex adult mental health cases.

\n

· Experience working within community mental health teams or adult social care services.

\n

· Experience conducting safeguarding investigations and risk assessments.

\n

· Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.

\n

· Experience applying mental health and social care legislation in practice.

\n
