Motor Claims Handler
\n\nWhat will my duties be?
\nPro-actively manage, fire, theft, and damage claims, for the entire claim journey on behalf of Motor Underwriters who insure a diverse portfolio of risks across the UK.
\nProvide comprehensive advice on all claims, advising policyholders of the best course of action to achieve settlement.
\nManage claim cost, achieving economical settlement while ensuring the customer’s experience is excellent throughout the lifecycle of their claim.
\nLiaise between Insurers, policyholders, leaseholders, engineers, brokers, and solicitors providing updates where required.
\nProvide an excellent level of customer service and empathy to our customers.
\nNegotiate and adjust on third-party claims.
\nObtain relevant documentation / media for the assessment of the claim.
\nEnsure compliance with all regulatory requirements such as Treating Customers Fairly.
\nSupport the company’s values and policies and work to the highest professional standards.
\n\nWhat skills should I have?
\nWorking knowledge of motor claims handling including Credit Hire, Salvage, Indemnity, and Third-Party risk.
\nA good working knowledge of Underwriters terms and conditions, against which to validate a claim and determine actions required to achieve early and cost-effective settlement.
\nExcellent customer service skills to deliver a professional and compassionate service.
\nA confident attitude and the ability to deliver information clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing.
\nThe ability to work independently to manage and complete your allocated workflow.
\nAdaptability to change and the willingness to pro-actively look for ways to improve what we do.
\nA positive outlook, able to both self-motivate and promote collaborative working within your team.
\nExcellent levels of numeracy and literacy
