\nHours: Monday – Friday 08:30am – 5:00pm

\n\nImperial Recruitment Group are working with one of North Yorkshires largest manufacturers who are looking to appoint a Goods in Manager
\n\nMain Purpose:
\nAs Goods-In Manager, you are responsible for all inbound material and equipment streams. Your team performs a vital and time-critical function for the business; receipting, handling, picking and delivering the right materials in the right place at the right time for production.
\nReporting directly to the Senior Inventory & Internal Supply Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership and motivation of the Goods-In, Yard and Equipment (Pallet) teams and their associated functions. You will develop and manage your leadership team to deliver industry-leading levels of performance, accuracy, quality and safety.
\nDuties:
\nLead the Goods In, Yard and Returnable Equipment (Pallet) teams
\nManage, motivate and be accountable for team performance and standards
\nRecord, manage and drive KPIs within your areas of responsibility to deliver exceptional colleague performance and accuracy
\nLead Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement projects and drive daily, sustainable performance across the department
\nManage colleagues’ system usage to drive exceptional performance and accuracy in relation to stock movement from the point of receipt, correct placement in storage locations through to consumption
\nTake full operational ownership of inbound stock accuracy, integrity and control across all materials and equipment, by working closely with Stock Control team, to deliver industry-leading levels of accuracy.
\nIn coordination with Procurement, proactively monitor stock levels against production demand and procurement schedules, identifying risks of:
\nStock shortages (risking downtime)
\nExcess stock (impacting working capital, space and waste)
\nActively review and challenge procurement plans and delivery schedules, working closely with Procurement, Planning and Finance
\nOwn stock losses, discrepancies and write-offs:
\nEnsure root cause analysis is completed o Implement corrective actions
\nEliminate repeat issues
\nDrive continuous improvement in linefeed, stock accuracy, stock control processes and system integrity
\nEnsure strong alignment between Goods In, Stock Control Procurement, Planning and Finance
\nManage delivery scheduling, allowing adequate time to tip, check and put away
\nManage the transfer, call-off and control of componentry in third-party storage locations
\nLiaise proactively with Quality Assurance and Procurement teams to improve packaging and pallet formats to minimise damage
\nManage back-loads and the return of damaged or non-conforming components and returnable equipment to suppliers
\nManage recycling and waste streams as required
\n\nRequirements:
\n\nMinimum 3 years’ warehouse leadership experience in FMCG
\nDemonstrated ability to improve performance and control
\nStrong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
\nExperience managing inventory and stock accuracy
\nExcellent understanding of warehouse health & safety
\nIOSH Managing Safely certification (mandatory)
\nExcellent understanding of reach truck, counterbalance and pallet truck operation
\nStrong systems capability (SAP, WMS, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
\nConfident communicator across all levels
