Title: BuyerLocation: ShipleySalary: up to £37,000Elevation Recruitment Group's Procurement & Supply Chain division are supporting a growing Manufacturer in Shipley in their search for an experienced Buyer. The Buyer will work alongside the Senior Buyer to support buying and negotiating across a broad range of SKUs and categories. Alongside joining a supportive Manager, the Buyer will receive a flexible working arrangement as well as:

• Competitive salary of £33,000 - £37,000
\n
• 37.5-hour working week with flex-e-time
\n

• 13:00 finish on Fridays

Key duties of the Buyer will include:

\n
• Negotiating prices with suppliers and placing purchase orders, ensuring delivery promises are maintained
\n
• Engaging with project and engineering teams to communicate and improve delivery schedules
\n
• Reviewing and developing suppliers, negotiating contracts with new and existing suppliers
\n
• Working cross-functionally with business units to improve processes and update systems accordingly
\n

Key Skills & Experience required:

• Experience in procurement within a manufacturing / engineering environment
\n
• Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasive skills
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within teams and engage with various business units
\n
• A problem-solving mindset with strategic thinking and planning capabilities
\n
• A proactive approach to suggesting and implementing process improvements
\n
