\nSalary: £26,000 - £28,000 DOE
\nAbout the Role
\nWe are seeking an organised and proactive People Assistant to join our People & Culture team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to develop their experience across the full employee lifecycle within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
\nThe successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, compliance, and employee engagement activities. You will play a key role in ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and accuracy.
\n\nKey Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the People & Culture function. \n
- Maintain accurate employee records and update HR systems. \n
- Support recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, and preparing offer documentation. \n
- Assist with onboarding processes, including references, inductions, and probation reviews. \n
- Coordinate employee training, maintain training records, and update skills matrices. \n
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure new starter and leaver processes are completed efficiently. \n
- Support employee engagement initiatives and performance review processes. \n
- Assist with the administration of employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes. \n
- Take accurate and confidential minutes during HR meetings, investigations, inductions, and employee discussions. \n
- Support the review and updating of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice. \n
- Handle confidential employee information in line with GDPR requirements. \n
- Provide occasional reception cover as required. \n
- Undertake additional administrative and project support duties as required by the People & Culture team. \n
About You
\nTo be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within an HR, People, or administrative environment and be confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

- Previous experience within HR administration, recruitment, or employee relations support. \n
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. \n
- Basic understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n
- Strong organisational and time management abilities. \n
- High attention to detail and accuracy. \n
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. \n
- Proactive and adaptable approach to work. \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels. \n
Desirable
\nCIPD qualification or currently studying towards CIPD certification.
