Contract: Initially 3 Days per Week (Increasing to 5 Days per Week)

Pay: £18+ per hour

We are currently recruiting for a highly organised and proactive SEND Administrator to join a busy and supportive education setting. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator, ideally with a background in Education, Further Education, SEND, or Student Services, who is passionate about supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

You will play a key role in providing administrative support to the SEND team, ensuring learner records, documentation, and support processes are maintained efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the SEND department.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate learner records, including SEND documentation and confidential files.
  • \n
  • Support the administration of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and annual reviews.
  • \n
  • Coordinate meetings, reviews, and appointments for learners, parents/carers, and staff.
  • \n
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and documentation.
  • \n
  • Update and manage internal databases and tracking systems.
  • \n
  • Liaise with teaching staff, support staff, external agencies, and parents/carers as required.
  • \n
  • Monitor learner support arrangements and ensure records remain up to date.
  • \n
  • Support the onboarding of new learners requiring SEND provision.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding, and confidentiality requirements.
  • \n
  • Assist with general administrative duties including data entry, filing, minute-taking, and responding to enquiries.
  • \n
Essential Skills & Experience\n
    \n
  • Previous administrative experience within an education, college, school, or training environment.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • \n
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • \n
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • \n
  • Experience maintaining confidential records and handling sensitive information.
  • \n
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
  • \n
  • Professional and approachable manner when dealing with learners, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • \n
