\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CRM Strategist to join a successful and growing subscription-led digital business. This is a strategic and hands-on role, responsible for shaping CRM strategy, audience segmentation, lifecycle marketing automation and customer communications.
\nWorking within a collaborative Customer Marketing team, you will lead CRM initiatives that deliver personalised customer experiences, improve engagement and retention, and drive long-term revenue growth. You will also have line management responsibility for a direct report, supporting their development and day-to-day delivery.
\nThis role would suit someone with strong CRM expertise gained within a digital, media, publishing, subscription or membership environment who enjoys combining strategy, data insight and operational delivery.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a business-wide CRM strategy to improve customer acquisition, engagement, conversion and retention. \n
- Design and optimise automated customer lifecycle journeys, including onboarding, engagement, renewal and win-back campaigns. \n
- Lead testing and optimisation programmes, including A/B and multivariate testing. \n
- Collaborate with marketing, commercial, editorial, data and technology teams to align CRM activity with wider business objectives. \n
- Build and maintain automated workflows, customer journeys, campaign templates and preference centres. \n
- Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to measure campaign effectiveness and customer performance. \n
- Act as the primary contact for CRM platform enhancements, integrations and support. \n
- Develop internal processes and quality assurance procedures for CRM campaigns. \n
- Manage segmentation strategies to improve targeting, personalisation and customer lifetime value. \n
- Work closely with data, legal and technology teams to ensure compliant customer communications. \n
About You
\n- \n
- Proven experience developing and executing CRM strategies within a digital, media, publishing, subscription or membership-based business is ideal. \n
- Strong hands-on experience with CRM and email marketing platforms. \n
- Excellent knowledge of customer segmentation, marketing automation, deliverability and data management. \n
- Experience managing testing programmes and using data to drive optimisation. \n
- Good understanding of GDPR, PECR and CRM compliance requirements. \n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. \n
- The ability to translate customer insights into effective lifecycle marketing strategies. \n
- Previous people management or mentoring experience. \n
