Job Description

We're working with a PE-backed business looking for an experienced finance professional to support the CFO during a period of leave. This is a hands-on interim assignment where you'll act as a key point of contact across the business, helping to keep projects moving, supporting senior stakeholders and ensuring the finance function continues to deliver.

This isn't a technical accounting role and it isn't a pure FP&A position. The priority is finding someone who can build relationships quickly, work confidently with senior stakeholders and provide commercial finance support in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll be doing\n

  • Acting as a trusted finance partner to the senior leadership team
  • \n
  • Supporting the CFO by taking ownership of day-to-day commercial finance matters
  • \n
  • Working closely with operational teams to provide financial insight and challenge
  • \n
  • Producing forecasts, cash flow updates and board-quality reporting
  • \n
  • Coordinating information requests from external advisers and lenders where required
  • \n
  • Monitoring business performance, identifying risks and highlighting opportunities
  • \n
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and ongoing planning activities
  • \n
  • Helping maintain momentum across a number of strategic projects while the CFO is away
  • \n
We're looking for someone who has:\n
    \n
  • Previous experience as a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Manager, FP&A Manager or Finance Manager
  • \n
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to work directly with senior leadership
  • \n
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to translate financial information into practical business decisions
  • \n
  • Experience within a PE-backed, owner-managed or fast-paced commercial business would be advantageous
  • \n
  • Exposure to refinancing, banking relationships or investor reporting would be useful, although this isn't essential
  • \n
  • Strong Excel skills and experience producing meaningful financial analysis
