A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Solicitor to join a highly regarded law firm in Bracknell with a mandate to establish, build, and lead a brand-new Family Law department from the ground up.

This role offers significant autonomy and is ideal for a Senior Family Solicitor or existing Head of Department who is commercially driven and looking to create something of their own, with full backing from an established firm.

The Opportunity

• Set up and lead a new Family Law department with full strategic control

• Build your own team, processes, and client base
\n
• Join a firm with an existing client network to cross-sell Family services
\n
• Develop a long-term department growth plan with clear support from senior leadership

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Establish and grow the Family Law offering
\n
• Manage a caseload of privately funded matters, including:\n
  \n
  • Divorce and separation
  \n
  • Financial remedy and high-net-worth cases
  \n
  • Private children matters
  \n
  • Cohabitation disputes and pre/post-nuptial agreements
  \n
\n
• Lead business development and networking activities to generate work
\n
• Recruit, train, and manage junior fee earners and support staff
\n
• Implement systems, compliance, and best practices for the department
\n
• Work closely with senior management on strategy and growth
\n

About You

\n
• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 6+ years PQE in Family Law
\n
• Proven experience handling a broad and complex family caseload
\n
• Strong commercial awareness and entrepreneurial mindset
\n
• Experience in building client relationships and generating work
\n
• Previous leadership experience ideal, but ambitious Senior Solicitors stepping up will be considered
\n
• A desire to build and lead a successful department long-term
\n
