Temporary Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper (3-6 Month Contract)

Location: WarringtonSalary: £15.38-£17.94 per hour depending on experience Contract: Temporary (3- 6 Months) with the potential to become permanentHours: Full-time

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join a friendly and growing business on a temporary basis for approximately six months. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied finance role, with the possibility of securing a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
\n
• Bank reconciliations
\n
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
\n
• Assisting with credit control
\n
• Processing payments and allocating receipts
\n
• Supporting month-end procedures
\n
• Maintaining accurate financial records
\n
• Assisting with VAT returns where required
\n
• General finance administration and ad hoc support to the finance team
\n

About You:

\n
• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeping role
\n
• Good working knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks
\n
• Strong Excel skills
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
\n
• AAT qualification or studying towards AAT would be advantageous but is not essential
\n
