\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing ground investigation contractor based in Inverness. Working on projects across Scotland, you'll be involved in delivering high-quality site investigations for residential, commercial, infrastructure and renewable energy developments.
\nThis is a hands-on role offering a mix of site supervision and technical reporting, making it ideal for someone looking to build their career within the ground investigation sector.
\nThe Geotechnical Engineer role will involve:

- Supervising ground investigation projects across a range of sites. \n
- Logging soil and rock samples to current British Standards. \n
- Overseeing drilling rigs and intrusive site investigations. \n
- Scheduling and interpreting geotechnical laboratory testing. \n
- Producing factual ground investigation reports. \n
- Carrying out geotechnical assessments and providing engineering recommendations. \n
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and project teams. \n
- Ensuring all site works are completed safely and in line with industry standards. \n
The successful Geotechnical Engineer will have:

- A degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline. \n
- Previous experience within ground investigation or geotechnical engineering. \n
- Experience supervising site investigations and logging soils and rock. \n
- Strong report writing and communication skills. \n
- A full UK driving licence. \n
- A willingness to travel to project sites across Scotland when required. \n
