Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Billing Analyst to join a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is key to ensuring accurate and timely billing across multiple contracts, supporting both operational teams and cash flow performance.

You will play a critical role in managing the full billing lifecycle, from applications for payment through to invoicing, whilst driving process improvements and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end billing and invoicing processes across multiple contracts
\n
• Prepare and submit Applications for Payment (AFP) within agreed timescales
\n
• Ensure all work is correctly identified, processed, and invoiced accurately
\n
• Work closely with operational teams to reduce and clear WIP at month-end
\n
• Handle invoice queries, ensuring swift resolution with all relevant stakeholders
\n
• Support and collaborate with credit control to drive cash collection
\n
• Provide cover for credit control where required
\n
• Monitor contract activity daily, including billing calculations and reconciliations
\n
• Perform month-end billing checks and ensure all unbilled work is cleared
\n
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
\n
• Maintain and utilise internal systems (including Dynamics NAV where applicable)
\n
• Produce ad-hoc reports and respond to internal information requests
\n

Requirements

Essential

\n
• Proven billing experience within a high-volume, multi-contract environment
\n
• Strong understanding of financial data and billing processes
\n
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
\n
• Ability to manage heavy workloads and meet strict deadlines
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
\n
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
\n
• Self-motivated, proactive, and resilient
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience within property services, maintenance, or engineering sectors
\n
• Knowledge of billing methodologies (SOR, cost-plus)
\n
• Understanding of job costing (labour, materials, subcontractors)
\n
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics NAV
\n
• AAT qualification or similar
\n
