\nBerry Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to join our client's team in Oxford
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technician or Mechanic to join an established business and play a key role in maintaining their HGV fleet.
\nThe Role

- Role: HGV Technician / Mechanic \n
- Location: Bampton, Oxfordshire \n
- Days: Monday to Friday \n
- Hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm \n
- Salary: £45,000+ per annum (dependent on experience) \n
Key Responsibilities
\nAs an HGV Technician / Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV vehicles \n
- Diagnosing and repairing both mechanical and electrical faults \n
- Completing 6-weekly inspections \n
- Carrying out brake testing \n
- Preparing vehicles for MOTs \n
- Roadside Breakdowns \n
- Ensuring all vehicles are safe, roadworthy and compliant \n
- Working efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime \n
- Maintaining accurate records of all work completed \n
- Completing all relevant paperwork relating to PMI inspections \n
The Candidate
\nThe successful candidate will ideally have:
\n- \n
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or similar \n
- Excellent knowledge of HGV mechanics \n
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills \n
- A full UK driving licence \n
- A Class 2 licence would be desirable but is not essential \n
- Their own small hand tools \n
- Ability to work individually \n
- A reliable and proactive approach to their work \n
- Larger tools will be supplied. \n
