Assistant Controller

HFG are currently partnering with a leading specialist insurance organisation, is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Controller to join their London finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in financial reporting, controls, client money oversight and regulatory compliance, while working closely with stakeholders across the business.

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting.
\n
• Prepare management accounts and financial analysis.
\n
• Assist with statutory reporting and Group reporting.
\n
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
\n
• Support treasury and cash flow reporting.
\n
• Manage Client Money activities in line with FCA CASS 5 regulations.
\n
• Prepare client money reconciliations and calculations.
\n
• Support internal and external audits.
\n
• Drive process improvements across the finance function.
\n

\n
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
\n
• Previous insurance, broker, MGA or London Market experience.
\n
• Strong understanding of FCA CASS 5, IFRS and UK GAAP.
\n
• Experience producing management accounts and statutory reporting.
\n
• Excellent Excel, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
\n
• Proactive, organised and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
