We are currently working with a well-established organisation based in Birmingham who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Credit Controller on a 6-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced finance team and play a key role in optimising cash flow and driving best-in-class credit management processes.

This role offers hybrid working, providing flexibility alongside a collaborative office environment.

• Managing a ledger of key and high-value accounts
\n
• Driving the collection of overdue debt and reducing aged debt balances
\n
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
\n
• Handling escalated and complex accounts, negotiating payment plans where required
\n
• Producing regular aged debt reports and cash flow forecasts
\n
• Supporting process improvements within the credit control function
\n
• Working closely with sales and finance teams to resolve invoice disputes
\n
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members where necessary
\n

• Proven experience in a senior credit control position
\n
• Strong track record of reducing debt and improving debtor days
\n
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
\n
• Able to manage high volumes and prioritise workload effectively
\n
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
\n
• Confident using finance systems and Excel
\n
