Semi-Senior Accountant

A well-established and growing accountancy practice is seeking a Semi Senior Accountant to join its friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities and work closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative environment.

• Preparation of statutory accounts for a variety of clients
\n
• Assisting with the management of a client portfolio
\n
• Preparation of management accounts
\n
• Bookkeeping duties and maintenance of client records
\n
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns
\n
• Preparation of personal and partnership tax returns
\n
• Supporting client queries and building strong client relationships
\n
• Attending client meetings and liaising with business owners where appropriate
\n
• Assisting with the development and support of junior team members
\n
• General practice and administrative duties as required
\n

\n
• At least 2-3 years' experience within an accountancy practice environment
\n
• Currently studying towards AAT, ACA or ACCA, or qualified by relevant degree
\n
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
\n
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
\n
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach to client interaction
\n
• Proactive, self-motivated and eager to continue developing professionally
\n
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software would be advantageous
\n
