Retail Manager – Solihull

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Retail Manager, Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Retail Supervisor, Branch Manager, or Retail Team Leader.

Shifts

• Any 5 days out of 7 • 09:00 – 17:00

Salary

• £30,000 – £34,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Retail Manager, your duties will include:

• Leading, motivating, and developing a retail team of seven colleagues • Managing the day-to-day operation of the store to ensure smooth running • Delivering an exceptional shopping experience for every customer • Driving sales performance and achieving store targets • Maintaining high standards of merchandising, stock presentation, and housekeeping • Managing staffing levels, rotas, and team performance • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting colleagues to maximise performance • Maintaining a safe, compliant, and organised working environment • Identifying opportunities to improve store performance and customer satisfaction • Leading by example with a positive, proactive, and hands-on approach

Essential Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience as a Retail Manager, Store Manager, or Assistant Store Manager • Proven experience leading, managing, and developing retail teams • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills • A customer-focused approach with strong commercial awareness • The ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced retail environment • Flexibility to work any 5 days out of 7, including weekends • A full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle due to the location of the site

Desirable Experience

• Experience within a home improvement, DIY, homeware, garden centre, or similar retail environment would be advantageous but is not essential

Training Provided

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your employment
