CNC Turner

Our client is a well-established precision engineering company supplying high-quality components to the defence and aerospace sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their skilled machining team. As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture high-precision components to exacting quality standards.

Key Responsibilities of the CNC Turner

• Program set and operate multiple Fanuc controlled Lathe to make a variety of aviation parts.
\n
• Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
\n
• Selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies.
\n
• Editing and optimising CNC programs where required.
\n
• Carrying out first-off inspection and in-process quality checks.
\n
• Working to high standards of quality within a precision engineering environment.
\n

Key competencies of the CNC Turner

\n
• Previous experience as a CNC Turner (Programmer/Setter/Operator).
\n
• Ability to program CNC turning machines from engineering drawings.
\n
• Experience using Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazatrol control systems.
\n
• Strong understanding of precision machining techniques and tolerances.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
\n

• Salary of £40,000 per annum.
\n

• Last year's profit share paid £7,000 per employee

• 7:30am – 4.30 pm with a 12:30pm finish on Fridays
