As a Senior Client Accountant / Service Charge Accountant in the property industry based in Nottingham, you'll play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy in reporting.

\nOur client is a growing organisation in Nottingham within the property industry and are looking to add a Senior Client Accountant / Service Charge Accountant to their team on a permanent basis.
\nThis opportunity is a hybrid role in Nottingham paying up to £50,000 (DOE).
\nThe successful Senior Client Accountant / Service Charge Accountant will take ownership of a portfolio of clients in the property sector and lead service charge accounting.

- Prepare annual service charge budgets \n
- Liaise with Property Managers \n
- Service charge reconciliations \n
- Prepare and manage accounts in accordance with lease agreements and RICS regulations \n
- Year end reconciliations \n
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports. \n
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes. \n
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis. \n
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. \n
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors. \n
- Monitor financial controls and processes to maintain accuracy and integrity. \n
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. \n
- Collaborate with various teams to streamline accounting processes. \n
Profile
\nA successful Senior Accountant should have:

- A strong background in accounting within the property industry. \n
- A strong knowledge of Service Charge Accounting. \n
- Professional accounting qualifications or equivalent education. \n
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis. \n
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. \n
- The ability to work well in a hybrid working environment. \n
