HR Manager
Job Description
HR Manager | Up to £60,000 + Great Benefits | Kidderminster (Initially onsite)
\n\nThis is more than a HR role - it’s about leading people through change.
\nWe’re partnering with a global organisation with a strong UK presence, looking for a hands-on HR Manager to support a business on a genuine transformation journey.
\nThis is a safety-first, people-centric organisation where culture matters. With a long-standing workforce and deep-rooted values, the business is evolving - modernising its approach, strengthening engagement, and bringing people along the journey.
\nThey’re looking for someone who can balance care and challenge - a true generalist who can build trust, influence stakeholders, and help shift mindsets in a respectful, inclusive way.
\n\nThe Opportunity:
\nYou’ll take ownership of the HR function across a UK population of c.75 employees (manufacturing and distribution), supported by an HR Administrator/Executive Assistant.
\nThis is a broad, operational HR role with real strategic impact, where you’ll be central to delivering cultural and organisational change, developing managers and building capability, driving engagement and wellbeing initiatives, and supporting business-critical people decisions.
\nYou’ll work closely with both UK leadership and a wider European HR structure, giving you exposure to a truly international business.
\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:
\n- \n
- Leading day-to-day generalist HR delivery across the UK business \n
- Partnering with leadership on transformation and change initiatives (including potential relocation, integration, and restructuring) \n
- Acting as a trusted advisor on employee relations (low volume, complex where needed) \n
- Driving improvements in engagement, retention, and culture \n
- Coaching and developing line managers to build confidence and capability \n
- Supporting wellbeing and engagement strategies aligned to a people-first approach \n
- Managing payroll coordination via an external bureau (starters, leavers, changes, accuracy checks) \n
- Producing and presenting monthly HR metrics and reporting (European scorecard - absence, sickness, key trends) \n
- Reviewing and enhancing policies, procedures, and contracts \n
- Supporting TUPE activity, organisational design, and workforce planning \n
- Playing a key role in embedding hybrid working practices \n
The environment:
\nThis is a business with a long-tenured workforce, and a traditional environment where change needs to be handled sensitively.
\nThere is a strong values base centred around trust, respect, humility and passion, and a genuine commitment to wellbeing and CSR, including mental health initiatives and community engagement.
\nIt’s a place where relationships matter - and where you’ll need to win hearts and minds, not force change.
\n\nWhat they’re looking for:
\nYou’ll be an experienced HR generalist who thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys working close to the business.
\nYou’ll bring:
\n- \n
- Proven experience of supporting transformation or cultural change \n
- Strong employee relations expertise and sound judgement \n
- Confidence coaching and influencing managers at all levels \n
- Experience overseeing payroll processes and HR reporting and metrics \n
- The ability to operate as a trusted, credible HR lead in a standalone capacity \n
- A pragmatic, balanced approach, able to align people needs with business goals \n
Experience within manufacturing, logistics or operational environments would be a distinct advantage.
\n\nWhy apply?
\n- \n
- Be part of a business that genuinely puts people and safety first \n
- Play a key role in shaping and embedding cultural change \n
- Work in a globally connected organisation with local impact \n
- Take ownership of a varied, meaningful HR remit where you can make a real difference \n
