Job Description
Role: Residential Childcare Worker (Bank / Casual Worker Agreement)
\nLocation: Preston & Surrounding Areas (Bamber Bridge, Walton-le-Dale, Lostock Hall, Leyland, Clayton-le-Woods, Chorley)
\nPay: £12.75 per hour
\nSleep-in Rate: £55 per sleep-in
\nContract Type: Casual Worker Agreement (Bank)
\nShifts: Flexible – including long days (8am–10pm) and sleep-ins

\nTraining Requirement
\nAll successful candidates will be required to commit to a 2-week paid onsite training and induction programme before starting shifts. This ensures you are fully prepared to work safely and effectively within our services.
\nAbout the Role
\nNorthridge Care Group is seeking flexible and dedicated individuals to join our bank of Residential Childcare Workers, supporting children and young people across our services on an ad hoc basis.
\nThis role provides cover during periods such as staff sickness, annual leave, and training. Work is offered on a shift-by-shift basis depending on service needs.
\nAs a bank worker, you will have the flexibility to accept or decline work offered, and there is no obligation on the Company to provide a minimum number of hours.
\nAs a Residential Childcare Worker, you will:

- Promote independence, confidence, and life skills \n
- Provide consistent, compassionate, and nurturing care \n
- Help young people overcome challenges and celebrate achievements \n
- Safeguard and advocate for the wellbeing of young people at all times \n
- Contribute to a safe, stable, and supportive home environment \n
What We’re Looking For
\nWe’re keen to hear from candidates who:

- Hold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or \n
- Have relevant experience working in children’s residential settings \n

- Comfortable working flexible shifts, including sleep-ins \n
