We are partnering with a fast-growing, technology-driven financial services firm based in Jersey, currently seeking an ambitious Senior Accountant to join their expanding leadership team.

The role

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality client service, leading engagements and supporting the continued growth of the business. You will manage a varied portfolio spanning both corporate entities and private clients, including high-net-worth individuals.

\n

You will also take an active role in mentoring junior team members, improving internal processes, and contributing to wider strategic initiatives.

\n

This role is well suited to someone commercially minded, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment and wants to be part of a collaborative and evolving firm.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, ensuring consistently high standards of service
  • \n
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted adviser
  • \n
  • Support process improvements and leverage technology to drive operational efficiency
  • \n
  • Lead, mentor and develop junior team members, including involvement in recruitment and performance management
  • \n
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure strong financial controls are in place
  • \n
  • Work closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions
  • \n
  • Contribute to business development, including growing existing relationships and identifying new opportunities
  • \n
  • Support the ongoing development and promotion of the firm’s service offering
  • \n

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification. Part qualified can be considered, with a minimum of 5 years work experience.
  • \n
  • Strong technical accounting expertise, with exposure to multiple sectors preferred
  • \n
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring team members
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • \n
  • Commercially aware, with an interest in contributing to business growth
  • \n
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, technology-driven environment
  • \n
  • Proactive, driven and relationship-focused
