Job Description
Our client, Solihull Council, is seeking several Advanced Practitioners for its Family Help teams.
\n\nThis post will last 3-4 months initially paid at £33.30.

\n\n\nThe role will involve the following:
\n\n- \n
- Workers are on duty every 8 weeks. \n
- They are expected in the office one day per week when they are not on duty. \n
- Solihull is progressing its social care reforms and we are recruiting Senior Social Workers to join our new Family Help Teams. \n
- Our eight teams each include 5 Social Workers, 3 Family Support Workers, 2 Advanced Practitioners and a Team Manager. \n
- A separate Court Team manages all public and private law work. \n
- Family Help Teams support children requiring assessments, Child in Need, Early Help or Child Protection plans. \n
- We maintain caseloads of 16–20 children, and have stayed committed to low caseloads over the past year. \n
- This is why agency workers rarely leave Solihull — and often return. \n
- Social workers tell us they come back for the manageable workloads, strong support and the ability to deliver high-quality intervention. \n
Requirements of the role:
\n\n- \n
- Qualified Social Worker \n
- Fully Social Work England registered \n
- 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules) \n
- Must have a strong background in children’s social care including CIN and CP work \n
- Have experience of delivering meaningful direct work \n
- Can drive progress and contribute to a developing service \n
