VEHICLE TECHNICIAN
\nLocation: Dorchester, Dorset
\nSalary: £30,000 - £50,000 OTE + Competitive Basic + Bonus + Benefits

\nAn established automotive retailer is seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join its busy workshop team in Dorchester.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Technician to work within a modern dealership environment, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, repair work and vehicle inspections to manufacturer standards. The role offers strong earning potential through a performance-based bonus structure, along with ongoing training and career development opportunities.
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\n• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repair work on a range of vehicles.
\n• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical resources.
\n• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional repair requirements.
\n• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
\n• Accurately record all work carried out using dealership systems.
\n• Liaise with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers regarding job progress and requirements.
\n• Maintain high levels of productivity and workmanship quality.
\n• Follow warranty processes and manufacturer compliance guidelines.
\n• Support workshop efficiency and contribute to team performance targets.
\n• Engage in ongoing technical training and development.
\nCANDIDATE PROFILE
\n• Qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
\n• Previous experience in a franchised dealership or reputable independent workshop.
\n• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills.
\n• Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
\n• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
\n• Full UK Driving Licence.
\nDESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
\n• MOT Tester qualification.
\n• Manufacturer training or accreditation.
\n• Experience with diagnostics, EV or hybrid systems.
