You’ll be trusted to get on with the job, with flexibility on hours (minimum 22.5 per week), hybrid working, and a team that values people. If you want to work somewhere that’s as much about the people as the payroll, this is the contract for you.Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for:\n

- Processing and supporting the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and timely payments \n
- Completing payroll checks, reconciliations, and controls to maintain payroll accuracy \n
- Administering statutory payroll requirements, including RTI submissions and HMRC compliance \n
- Managing pension auto-enrolment and monthly pension contribution submissions \n
- Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers, providing professional support and guidance \n
- Administering employee benefits, including flexible benefits, company car schemes, and eye care schemes \n
- Processing third-party payments, including HMRC, charitable giving (GAYE), and court orders \n
- Producing regular and ad hoc payroll reports for Finance and business stakeholders \n
- Working collaboratively with HR to ensure payroll changes are processed accurately and on time \n
- Identifying and implementing payroll process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery \n
- Supporting payroll-related projects and escalating system or processing issues where required \n

- Previous experience in a similar role such as Payroll Advisor, Payroll Officer, or Payroll & Benefits Specialist \n
- Hands-on experience with IRIS Cascade Payroll (this is essential) \n
- In-house payroll experience, including P11Ds and statutory returns \n
- Strong knowledge of HMRC legislation, payroll regulations, and statutory requirements \n
- Experience with pension administration and auto-enrolment \n
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy \n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines \n
- Excellent customer service and communication skills \n
- Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy \n
