\n\nMy client, a well established business based in Bishop Auckland, is looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join their busy and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working collaboratively across departments and takes pride in providing a first class customer experience.
\n\nIn this varied role, you will be responsible for handling customer orders, managing queries, and resolving complaints or issues efficiently and professionally. You will play a key part in ensuring orders are processed accurately and customers are kept informed throughout the journey.
\n\nKey Responsibilities

- Work closely with the sales and production teams to enhance the overall customer experience \n
- Support the order coordination process to improve efficiency and effectiveness \n
- Ensure all data entry is accurate and completed within required timescales \n
- Manage order amendments from the point of original order receipt \n
- Provide customers with updated delivery dates and order confirmations \n
- Review customer requirements and ensure delivery performance targets are achieved \n
- Provide customers with estimated delivery times and weekly delivery reports \n
- Communicate openly with customers where delivery targets cannot be met due to production issues \n
- Support the order processing team during busy periods when required \n
- Assist with resolving transport related issues and maintaining service standards \n
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and procedures \n
- Share knowledge and best practice across teams \n
- Continue developing technical knowledge through training and learning opportunities \n
- Ensure all work is completed in line with company quality standards \n
Skills and Experience Required
\n- \n
- Previous experience within a customer service or order processing role \n
- Experience using enterprise resource planning or manufacturing resource planning systems, alongside Microsoft Office applications \n
- Ability to work at pace whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail \n
- Strong verbal and written communication skills \n
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills \n
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure \n
- Strong problem solving skills with a proactive approach \n
- Confidence when handling challenging situations or customer complaints \n
- Commercial awareness and the ability to influence positive outcomes \n
