Compliance Officer (Legal) | Hybrid | Manchester City Centre | £35,000 - £45000+ Bonus

Are you an experienced Legal Compliance Officer, Risk & Compliance professional or litigation specialist looking to join a growing law firm with a strong reputation?

We're recruiting for a Compliance Officer to join an established legal practice in Manchester City Centre. Working alongside the COLP and senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, managing legal risk and supporting best practice across the firm.

The Role

This is a varied compliance position supporting the firm's legal and regulatory obligations across multiple departments.

You'll be responsible for:

• Supporting the COLP with compliance and risk management
\n
• Managing complaints, claims and professional indemnity notifications
\n
• Carrying out compliance checks, due diligence and regulatory searches
\n
• Maintaining risk registers and compliance records
\n
• Assisting with internal file audits and quality reviews
\n
• Monitoring regulatory changes, SRA guidance and legal compliance updates
\n
• Working with senior stakeholders to improve compliance processes and reduce risk
\n
• Promoting best practice across the business
\n

About You

You'll ideally have experience in legal compliance, risk or litigation and be confident working in a regulated legal environment.

You'll have:

• Experience in a Legal Compliance, Risk & Compliance or Compliance Officer role
\n
• Around 4 years' litigation experience
\n
• Good knowledge of SRA regulations and legal compliance
\n
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
\n
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
\n
• Litigation experience would be an advantage
