Payroll Administrator

Your new companyA respected and growing charity based in Bristol is looking to recruit a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join its friendly finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who wants to utilise their skills within an organisation that makes a genuine impact in local communities and supports meaningful causes.Your new roleReporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while delivering excellent service to colleagues across the organisation.Key responsibilities include:

• Processing monthly payroll for employees across multiple departments
\n
• Maintaining accurate employee records and payroll data
\n
• Administering starters, leavers and contractual changes
\n
• Processing statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP
\n
• Managing pension contributions and auto-enrolment requirements
\n
• Assisting with payroll reconciliations and month-end reporting
\n
• Responding to payroll queries from employees and managers
\n
• Supporting HMRC submissions and ensuring compliance with legislation
\n
• Maintaining confidentiality and data accuracy at all times
\n
• Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function
\n

What you'll need to succeed

\n
• Previous experience in a Payroll Administrator, Payroll Assistant or Payroll Officer role
\n
• A strong understanding of payroll processes and legislation
\n
• Experience using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
\n
• The ability to manage deadlines in a busy environment
\n
• A positive and collaborative approach to work
\n
