Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional who enjoys leading a team but still likes to be hands-on?

We're recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join a growing business based in Wetherby. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll lead a team of three Purchase Ledger Clerks, ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day processing.

• Leading, motivating and supporting a team of three Purchase Ledger Clerks.

• Managing the day-to-day purchase ledger function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time.
\n
• Remaining hands-on with invoice processing, matching, batching and coding.
\n
• Preparing supplier payment runs and reconciling supplier statements.
\n
• Resolving supplier queries and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
\n
• Supporting month-end activities and maintaining accurate financial records.
\n
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and maximise the use of automation.
\n
• Working closely with the Financial Controller to ensure an efficient and well-managed finance function.

• Previous Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable experience.
\n
• Experience supervising or mentoring a small team.
\n
• A hands-on approach with a willingness to support the team during busy periods.
\n
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
\n
• Confident communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
\n
• Experience using finance systems and good Microsoft Excel skills.
