We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Customs Clearance Coordinator to join their customs team. This office-based role will primarily involve handling UK road freight import customs clearances, with some sea freight entries.

Location: Office-based

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30

Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum (depending on experience)

• Manage the preparation and submission of UK import customs declarations.

• Process customs entries through CDS using ASM Sequoia.
\n
• Complete IPAFFS notifications for applicable import shipments.
\n
• Review import documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs requirements.
\n
• Communicate with customers, hauliers, ports and government agencies to support the customs clearance process.
\n
• Track the progress of customs entries and resolve any clearance issues or delays.
\n
• Maintain accurate customs records in line with HMRC regulations.
\n
• Deliver a high standard of customer service by providing timely updates and support throughout the import process.

• Previous experience working within a UK customs clearance or brokerage environment.
\n
• Good understanding of UK import customs legislation and procedures.
\n
• Hands-on experience processing road freight import declarations.
\n
• Familiarity with sea freight import customs processes.
\n
• Proficient in using ASM Sequoia and the CDS platform.
\n
• Knowledge of IPAFFS and import notification requirements.
\n
• Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
\n
• Confident using Microsoft Office applications.
\n
