Job Description
New vacancy: Import Brokerage Clerk - Road and Sea Freight
\nWe are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Customs Clearance Coordinator to join their customs team. This office-based role will primarily involve handling UK road freight import customs clearances, with some sea freight entries.
\nLocation: Office-based
\nHours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
\nSalary: Up to £39,000 per annum (depending on experience)
\n Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Manage the preparation and submission of UK import customs declarations. \n
- Process customs entries through CDS using ASM Sequoia. \n
- Complete IPAFFS notifications for applicable import shipments. \n
- Review import documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs requirements. \n
- Communicate with customers, hauliers, ports and government agencies to support the customs clearance process. \n
- Track the progress of customs entries and resolve any clearance issues or delays. \n
- Maintain accurate customs records in line with HMRC regulations. \n
- Deliver a high standard of customer service by providing timely updates and support throughout the import process. \n

- Previous experience working within a UK customs clearance or brokerage environment. \n
- Good understanding of UK import customs legislation and procedures. \n
- Hands-on experience processing road freight import declarations. \n
- Familiarity with sea freight import customs processes. \n
- Proficient in using ASM Sequoia and the CDS platform. \n
- Knowledge of IPAFFS and import notification requirements. \n
- Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail. \n
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach. \n
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications. \n
