This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented pensions professional to manage the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of SSAS pension schemes while working closely with clients and advisers.

Responsibilities include:

\n
    \n
  • Managing the day-to-day administration of Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSAS)
  • \n
  • Processing new scheme applications, transfers, and takeovers
  • \n
  • Liaising with clients, advisers, solicitors, accountants and third-party providers to support a smooth client experience.
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate scheme records and updating pension administration systems.
  • \n
  • Supporting pension benefit crystallizations, including processing tax-free cash and income payments.
  • \n
  • Administering SSAS bank accounts, payment instructions and invoicing.
  • \n
  • Assisting with property purchases, transfers and commercial property transactions held within SSAS arrangements.
  • \n
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the efficient running of the SSAS administration function.

Skills required:

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience in SSAS or pension administration (essential).
  • \n
  • Experience managing multiple cases and meeting regulatory deadlines.
  • \n
  • Confidently using Microsoft Office
  • \n
  • Experience with Xplan (desired)
  • \n
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • \n
  • Knowledge of pension transfers, benefit crystallizations, property transactions, VAT, and pension scheme accounts (desired)
