Right Now Group is working with a well-established logistics company, specialising in multimodal freight forwarding. With a prime location near London Heathrow, they efficiently manage import and export requirements, focusing on agent-to-agent business, particularly dealing with markets in the Middle East and India.
\nRole Overview - Multimodal Operator:Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Multimodal Freight Operator to join their small team of four. This full-time, on-site role will focus primarily on sea freight operations (75%) with involvement in both air freight and import shipments. The successful candidate will be key in managing day-to-day freight operations, ensuring the smooth movement of goods, handling customs entries, and overseeing all relevant documentation for both import and export sea and air shipments.

Coordinate both export and import shipments via sea and air freight, ensuring timely and compliant movement of goods.

Prepare and submit customs entries using E-customs/Descartes systems for both import and export shipments.
\n - \n
Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring excellent service delivery.
\n - \n
Manage shipment documentation from quotation through to invoicing.
\n - \n
Work closely with a small team of 4 to drive operational efficiency.
\n - \n
Address shipment delays and operational challenges effectively.
\n - \n
Focus on export operations, particularly sea freight (75%), with involvement in air freight and import shipments.

Key Requirements - Multimodal Operator:

Proven experience in multimodal freight operations, with a focus on both exports and imports.

Strong sea freight knowledge (75%) and some air freight experience (25%).
\n - \n
Familiarity with E-customs and Descartes systems.
\n - \n
Ability to work independently within a small team environment.
\n - \n
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
\n - \n
Strong communication and customer service skills.
\n - \n
Experience with agent-to-agent business, especially in the Middle East and India, is a plus.

Previous experience in a similar role in a small team environment is essential.
