Job Description

This person leads internal finance for all day-to-day financial activities, managing a team of six across several entities.

• Maintain internal controls; lead oversight of federal awards and programs, including grants.
\n
• Work with auditors, ensuring audit issues and compliance are met
\n
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
\n
• Analyze financial data and present financial reports and communicate financial statements
\n
• Forecast organizational cash flow
\n
• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
\n
• Support the CFO in engaging the board's audit and administration committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
\n
• Oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period.
\n
• Coordinate annual audit and serves as main point of contact with auditors.
\n
• Review weekly and monthly accounts payable checks for submittal for signature, approves reconciliations of direct reports, federal and state surveys and tax returns.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Prior experience working with multiple entities or intercompany transactions
\n
• BA degree in Accounting and/or Finance and 10 years of experience in accounting. CPA preferred.
\n
• 5 years of experience supervising staff accountants.
\n
• Hands-on management style with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment.
\n
• Strong analytical skills.
