Credit Controller£26,000 - £28,000Full time, PermanentHuddersfield, West YorkshireHamilton Woods are working with a West Yorkshire based client that are expanding within their finance team, working across multiple disciplines and functions of Finance.Responsible for effective and efficient management / monitoring of a portfolio ledger. Minimising aged debt and maximising cash collection whilst developing good working relationships with internal and external customers via phone and email.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating and upholding payment procedures and policies that ensure timely payment.
\n
• Collect payments according to agreed terms, achieve cash collection targets and resolve and minimise overdue debts.
\n
• Ability to build great relationships with both external customers and internal teams at all levels within the business.
\n
• Keeping customer retention levels high
\n
• Reconciling accounts
\n
• Providing administrative support to finance team
\n
• Keeping close watch on debtor account balances
\n
• Reducing debtors' 'Days Sales Outstanding'
\n
• Ensuring the team adhere to credit and collection procedures
\n
• Customer relations
\n

Skills & Experience:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups)
\n
• Strong communication skills, capable of building effective, long-term relationships.
\n
• Demonstrates accountability of customer accounts
\n
• High attention to detail
\n
• Problem solving skills
\n
• The ability to prioritise a heavy workload
\n
