\n\nThe Opportunity
\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical & Electrical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturer specialising in the design and manufacture of industrial rubber mixing machinery.
\nWorking as part of a close-knit engineering team, the successful candidate will be involved in the assembly, fitting, installation and commissioning of bespoke machinery. The role offers a varied workload, with approximately a 50/50 split between mechanical and electrical work, although this will fluctuate depending on project requirements.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturer offering overtime, the opportunity to travel internationally, and long-term career development within a specialist engineering environment.
\nInternational travel may be required to support machinery installations and commissioning at customer sites worldwide, although this is not essential for the role.
\n\nKey Responsibilities
\nAssemble, fit and install bespoke industrial machinery to engineering drawings and specifications.
\nCarry out both mechanical and electrical assembly activities throughout the build process.
\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly documentation.
\nSupport the installation, commissioning and testing of machinery.
\nWork closely with production and engineering teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
\nCarry out fault finding and rectify issues during assembly and commissioning.
\nMaintain high standards of workmanship, quality and health & safety.
\nSupport UK and overseas customer installations where required.
\nAssist with continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and assembly processes.
\nComplete all relevant job documentation accurately.
\n\nWhat We Need From You
\nEssential
\nPrevious experience in a Mechanical Fitter, Electrical Fitter, Mechanical & Electrical Fitter or similar engineering role.
\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings.
\nStrong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical assembly experience.
\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
\nPositive attitude and willingness to learn.
\nEletrical bias
\nDesirable
\nExperience assembling industrial machinery or capital equipment.
\nPrevious installation or commissioning experience.
\nExperience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
\nWillingness to travel for UK and overseas installations.
\nMechanical, Electrical or Multiskilled Engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
\n\nWhat We Offer
\nCompetitive hourly rate of £18.00 - £19.50, dependent on experience.
