Blackpool Council is seeking an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join its Community Adult Social Care service during an exciting period of improvement and transformation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to manage a multidisciplinary team, providing operational and professional leadership while ensuring high-quality, person-centred practice across Adult Social Care.

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Lead, manage and support a team of social workers and practitioners
\n
• Oversee complex casework, safeguarding enquiries and risk management
\n
• Ensure timely, high-quality Care Act assessments, reviews and care planning
\n
• Drive performance, quality assurance and continuous service improvement
\n
• Provide supervision, coaching and workforce development
\n
• Work collaboratively with health, housing, providers and voluntary sector partners
\n
• Contribute to service transformation and improvement initiatives
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE) registration
\n
• Significant experience within Adult Social Care, including safeguarding
\n
• Previous experience managing staff and leading teams
\n
• Strong decision-making, leadership and risk management skills
\n
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
\n
• Committed to strengths-based, person-centred practice
\n
