\nBlackpool Council is seeking an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join its Community Adult Social Care service during an exciting period of improvement and transformation.
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to manage a multidisciplinary team, providing operational and professional leadership while ensuring high-quality, person-centred practice across Adult Social Care.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Lead, manage and support a team of social workers and practitioners \n
- Oversee complex casework, safeguarding enquiries and risk management \n
- Ensure timely, high-quality Care Act assessments, reviews and care planning \n
- Drive performance, quality assurance and continuous service improvement \n
- Provide supervision, coaching and workforce development \n
- Work collaboratively with health, housing, providers and voluntary sector partners \n
- Contribute to service transformation and improvement initiatives \n
Requirements:
\n- \n
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE) registration \n
- Significant experience within Adult Social Care, including safeguarding \n
- Previous experience managing staff and leading teams \n
- Strong decision-making, leadership and risk management skills \n
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment \n
- Committed to strengths-based, person-centred practice \n
