Housing Officer
Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Manager to take ownership of a diverse housing patch, delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service across residential and mixed-tenure properties.
\nYou’ll act as the face of the organisation within the community, managing around 650 homes and leading on all aspects of tenancy and estate management. This is a hands-on role where you’ll build strong relationships with residents, ensure compliance and safety standards are met, and respond to a wide range of housing issues.
\nContract Length: 3 months initially
\nHours: Monday to Friday | 09:00 – 17:00 – approximately 3 days a week in the community
\nHourly rate: £29.70 (Umbrella)
\nLocation: Bexley area
\nPlease note that an Enhanced Adults DBS is required for this role
\nKey Responsibilities:

- Manage the end-to-end customer journey, including tenancy visits and ongoing engagement \n
- Handle tenancy management matters such as ASB, safeguarding, disputes, and legal processes \n
- Carry out estate and property inspections, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and compliance \n
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to resolve repairs and community issues \n
- Oversee estate services, including service charges, arrears queries, and contractor performance \n
- Represent the organisation at external meetings and support multi-agency working \n
The successful candidate will have:

- Experience within housing or tenancy management \n
- Confident managing complex cases including ASB and safeguarding \n
- Highly organised, able to manage your own patch independently \n
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required \n
