\nLocation:Camberley, Surrey
\nSalary: £14 to £20 per hour
\n\nAre you an experienced CNC Turner - Setter Operator? If so, our client is a growing Aerospace Precision Engineering / Manufacturing company located in the Camberley area and are looking for an experienced CNC Turner. The successful candidate should have previous CNC Turning experience. Our client can offer a safe and clean working environment with the latest CNC machines and offers an attractive hourly rate plus excellent benefits such as overtime paid at time and a half, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, uniform, pension and finish at lunch time on a Friday.
\n\nLocation: Commutable from Camberley, Yateley, Reading, Basingstoke, Woking, Aldershot, Guildford. Hours of work are 7.30 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday (30 mins lunch); 7.30 to 12.30 Friday (no lunch) – 39-hour week.
\n\nPlenty of overtime is available at time and a half.
\n\nYou will be required to perform setting and operating duties in the CNC Turning section machining components from a range of materials. The machine controls are mostly either Mazak or Fanuc. Our client has two Turn/Mill Lathes one of which has a Y axis and sub-spindle. There is also a Mazak J200 Integrex Mill/Turn in the section.
\n\nMainly you will be working prepared process and tooling sheets with pre-created programmes. However, you may need to utilise your machine-side editing skills. Some knowledge of conversational systems (Mazatrol/Hurco) would be advantageous. You will need to understand materials and machining techniques and be able to demonstrate an ability to plan and execute jobs under pressure. Although not essential a recognisable apprenticeship plus significant post-training industrial experience will be the greatest indicator of your abilities in these areas.
\n\nSpecific Responsibilities:

- Setting and operating CNC Turning centres. \n
- Occasional editing of programmes. \n
- Use of conversational systems like Mazatrol and Hurco (training available). \n
- Ensuring that programmes are working effectively. \n
- Observing the Company’s health and safety rules. \n
- General duties as required conducive to efficient running of the section. \n
Previous Experience:
\nEssential:
\n- \n
- CNC setting and operating experience – 2 – Axis Turning Centres. \n
- Knowledge of CNC programs (Fanuc as well as some Mazatrol or conversational) \n
- Accomplished setting and proving skills. \n
- Able to understand engineering drawings. \n
- Good knowledge of materials, speeds, feeds cutters etc. \n
- Able to use measuring instruments – micrometers, verniers etc. \n
- Able to work to a high degree of complexity and accuracy. \n
- Ability to prioritise. \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- Familiarity with aerospace quality systems. \n
- Familiar with mill/turn machines, Y-Axis and/or sub-spindle. \n
